If you, or a loved one are of advanced age, or find performing everyday tasks difficult due to an illness, injury or disability; our home care service can provide the extra support needed to live independently at home.

The benefits of home care can be far reaching. By helping out with tasks, such as dressing, cooking and domestic chores – our carers can make your daily routine that much easier.

Homecare doesn’t just provide assistance, it can also improve self-esteem by increasing independence and reducing your reliance on relatives.

Our Homecare service involves both personal care and help with domestic chores. Visits can range from the occasional hour, to more involved specialist care.

Our personal home care service offers assistance with people’s daily routines. Including support with washing, medication and dressing. Our care team will always ensure the dignity and comfort of the client is made a priority at all times.

Our practical home help provides assistance with everyday domestic tasks, such as cleaning, cooking and grocery shopping. Our care team can also assist our clients with outings and social occasions. We understand that often, it is not just help at home that is needed but also friendship and companionship.

Respite Care

As an informal or family carer most of your time and energy is spent caring and supporting a loved one. It is important for you to take regular breaks by using respite care so that you can enjoy a rest, take a break and recognise the importance of taking time out for yourself.

At AS Care, we understand this as many of our respite care workers have been through the very same thing, and that is what drove them to join us; their passion for supporting those who are in the same situation that they have been in.

We can support you with respite care workers whilst you go out and meet friends, have a holiday, or just go and have some space to yourself. You can rely on us to care for your loved one with compassion, and integrity. This all comes with the reassurance of a company with two decades of experience in delivering the highest standard in home care.

Get in touch with us today to find out how our respite care service can help you.

Dementia Care

Almost everybody will know of someone with dementia. It’s important that the right support and care is available for those who have dementia, and for those who are living with or caring for a loved one with dementia.

Through our reliable dementia care service, we support people with dementia to continue living at home safely. We also support their families through what is a tough time.

Our staff are trained to deal with the challenging behaviours that may come with dementia progression with care, compassion and professionalism.

Companionship

Companionship care is a popular choice for those looking to spend quality time doing the things they enjoy. This may include going on outings and getting about in the community for people who are less mobile and living alone.

For anyone looking for some company on a regular basis, it is always more enjoyable to share with another person, be that a meal, a cup of tea, or a good conversation.

Our companionship care service can also extend to live-in for going on holidays as well as short breaks away.

Our team are happy to help and support you to tailor a service to suit your needs and your budget.

Physical Disability Support

There are over 10 million people in the UK who are living with some form of physical disability.

Whether you are born with a disability, or it’s acquired later in life and whether it is permanent or temporary, it’s important to have some independence. Independent living is easier now, than it ever was before with Direct Payments, Individual Service Funds, and Individual Budgets providing more choice and control, and the ability to choose your disability support at home.

Home care and support means that for the majority of people, it’s possible to stay within the comfort of their own homes and community settings rather than be in residential care.

We firmly believe that a physical disability should not impede rights to choose, or hinder achieving goals in life. Everyone is different and as needs change, we monitor achievement towards the personal aspirations of those we support, regularly checking their support plans for progress.

We will work with the individual, rather than for them, helping them to do things for themselves as much as possible. Individuals can choose the type of support and care at home they feel they need with complete personalisation.

Learning Disability Support

People with learning disabilities have the same needs as we all have, in that they want freedom and choice; to live independently, to have self-esteem, to engage socially, and to be able to live as full of a life as possible.

At AS Care, we firmly believe in supporting adults and young people with learning disabilities to actively take part in their communities.

Our care team can support people with learning disabilities to lead an inclusive and fulfilling life while also encouraging independence and building confidence.

End of Life Care

Coping with a terminal illness is one of the most difficult challenges life can throw at you. We make a commitment to help you and your loved ones cope during this difficult time, by offering a professional and empathetic end of life care service.

Our end of life care team can make the final days comfortable and lessen the strain on relatives. It also enables clients to remain at home, in familiar surroundings, with the comfort and support of their family by their side.

Thank you to all the carers involved in looking after my husband throughout 2022. We shall never forget the kindness shown to him by all the staff. There are too many names to mention, I hope they will know who they are and realise what a difference they made not only to my husband’s life but also the wellbeing of the whole family.

We would like to praise the carers that have been seeing our Mum. We think that AS Care is great and every single carer that’s supported mum have been amazing.

We would like to praise one carer in particular. Unfortunately there were some unexpected events with my Mum and he collaborated with myself and went the extra mile to support this gentleman. Additionally I praise the management in the office – I always appreciate your input and support.

The carers have always given 100% care to my husband. All staff that have been in the property have been outstanding.

I would like to say a big thank you to all carers at AS Care especially to one carer in particular and for all she does for my brother. We appreciate and are thankful to all carers and for all they do for him.
